Recently, Ocean Plan's Underwater Communication and Navigation System was applied in the rescue and salvage operation of the shipwrecked ship 'Hong Pu 6', according to build up water surface and underwater 3D positioning and communication network,to improve the Collaborative efficiency between water surface personnels and underwater divers, so as to keep divers for a better safety level.

It is reported that the 'Hong Pu 6' has a total length of 128 meters, a breadth of 19.8 meters, and a depth of 10.8 meters. It exploded in the Rizhao sea area in January 2023, and then sank in the sea southeast of Lingshan Island, with a depth of more than 30 meters, while there was a large amount of heavy oil in the tank. Due to the accident, the hull cracked and arched, and the structural strength was seriously lost. After research and analysis, the plan of segmented salvage was determined , and the ships such as 'Dedu', 'Defu 3', 'Zhifu Island' and 'Defu 3600' were successively put into operation. The project personnel need to overcome difficulties such as the high risk of oil spills, the hardness of submarine sediment deposits, and the large surge waves affected by monsoons. On May 22, the salvage of the shipwrecked ship 'Hong Pu 6' carried by the ship 'Debo' has been successfully completed. The salvage work of the stern section is currently in full swing.

Ocean Plan was participating in the salvage of the ship's stern section. Through deployed the topside unit Control Center of the Underwater Communication and Navigation System, the commander on boat can master divers' data such as the real time position, bearing and status, to realize diver real-time positioning, diver 3D navigation and divers wireless message etc functions.

During the period of accurately locating the divers, also add the ways of communication, so that the communication mode of underwater salvage operations has changed from single to comprehensive forms, which was providing divers with double guarantees of real-time communication and safety.

Underwater operations are often full of dangerous and unknown situations. Underwater divers need to face with difficulties such as low temperature, turbulent water flow, and insufficient light. The shipwracked ship that is needed to salvage is more complicated, numerous crises pose huge threats to the lives of divers.

The Underwater Communication and Navigation system is equipped with one-button SOS alarm and diver abnormal status warning functions. Except for tracking the diver positions and monitor the status of the diver during underwater operation, when the diver encounters an emergency and send out the SOS signal, he'll be able to get the support from other dive buddies or boat stuff on time.
