The forum focused on the theme "Focusing on High-End Green Development, Accelerating Blue Rise," with more than 40 experts and scholars from research institutes, universities, and tech enterprises from mainland China and Hong Kong-Macao delivering excellent academic reports. The attendees actively engaged in discussions, shared their thoughts, and offered suggestions for marine ecological environment protection and green development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Dr. CHAN Lai Leo from the State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution (SKLMP) at City University of Hong Kong shared on "Innovative Technology for Mapping Nearshore Underwater Habitats." Dr. CHAN Lai Leo utilized a variety of technologies, such as side-scan sonar, surface unmanned boats, underwater cameras, underwater information systems, and underwater communication navigation systems, to develop an efficient mapping technology for nearshore seabed habitats.

In the innovative technology for mapping nearshore underwater habitats, the underwater communication and navigation system by Ocean Plan played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of scientific divers. This system constructs a full-waterbody three-dimensional wireless communication and positioning network, enabling positioning, navigation, text communication, emergency rescue, abnormal status warnings, and various networking functions between divers and between divers and the surface. It helps divers cope with various underwater situations, enhancing underwater coordination efficiency.

With the continuous advancement of marine environmental research, underwater communication and positioning technologies are not only playing important roles in ecological environment monitoring but also showing great potential in seabed resource exploration and marine archaeology. The innovative achievements of Ocean Plan are driving the development of underwater scientific research and providing solid technical support for broader marine exploration and protection efforts in the future.

At this "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Forum on Marine Environmental Protection and Green Development," the successful cooperation among all parties further deepened, promoting the practical application of more cutting-edge technological achievements. This has made "Focusing on High-End Green Development, Accelerating Blue Rise" possible, injecting new momentum into marine environmental protection and green development.
